A6659: The Entry-Level Soft Pack

A6659 is the simplest backpack in the range: an unframed Red/Black fabric body with a mesh front that unzips across the top as a lid, a second mesh panel below it, open mesh side pockets and a plain red back. Two black webbing shoulder straps with slide adjusters and a top loop are the whole carry system — the reference sample has no padded back, chest strap or rigid base. No dimensions or weight rating have been measured yet.

What It Leaves Out

Its case rests on what it does without. Compared with the bubble-front A6621 at 1,361 g, or the expanding A6688, A6659 has no shell, no extension and very little hardware, so it folds flat and ships in a small carton. The trade-off is structure: a soft base and thin straps suit short trips with a light cat, and anything longer points toward A6624, with its padded straps and chest buckle.

Choices for the Buyer

Adding a base board, padded straps or a chest strap changes the item enough to count as a new structure, so those decisions belong before sampling rather than after.
