What information should I send a pet bag factory to get an accurate quotation?
Six things turn a vague enquiry into a firm price. 1. A reference. A photo, sketch, sample or tech pack - anything that fixes the shape. Without one, a quote is guesswork. 2. Quantity per style and per colour. Our MOQ is 300 pieces per style per colour, so 900 pieces in three colours costs differently from 900 pieces in one. 3. Size and structure. Outer dimensions, whether it must fit a cabin size limit, and load-bearing points such as shoulder straps or a base board. 4. Material and hardware. Fabric preference (canvas, Oxford, nylon, RPET, PU and so on), mesh panels, and whether you need a specific zipper brand or a locking slider. 5. Branding and packaging. Which logo method (woven patch, metal plate, embroidery, heat transfer, custom zipper pull) and whether you need retail-ready or FBA-ready cartons. 6. Market and deadline. Your destination market drives compliance paperwork such as REACH or California Prop 65, and your in-store date drives whether light customization (15-30 days) or heavy customization (20-45 days) is feasible. How long do samples and production take once the quotation is agreed?
Samples are 3-7 days. Bulk production is 15-30 days for light customization - your logo, colours and packaging on an existing structure - and 20-45 days for heavy customization, meaning new patterns, new moulds or a structure we have not built before. Sample fees depend on complexity and are typically 2-3 times the bulk unit price; the full sample fee is deducted from your production payment once you place the bulk order. Timelines start from approved artwork and a confirmed sample, not from the first enquiry, so sending a complete brief up front is the fastest way to shorten the whole schedule.
