Compliance documents: what we provide, and on what terms
Buyers in the EU, the UK and North America ask us for the same list of documents, and several have told us not to answer with “CE and GPSR compliant”. This page answers the way a compliance team needs: item by item, with who issues it, when, and what it costs.
How to read this page
Every document below falls into one of four groups. The group tells you whether you should expect a scan in the first reply, a quotation line, or a task on your own side.

- Exists today for the factory itself; sent after an NDA or a real enquiry so the reference numbers can be verified with the issuing body
- Per order
- Tied to your product, materials and lot; arranged and quoted as part of the order, with method, sample count and acceptance criteria agreed first
- Importer side
- Legally sits with the brand or importer placing the product on the market; we supply the inputs, you issue the document
- Not claimed
- Documents that do not exist for this product category, however often they are asked for
Factory-level documents (on request)
BSCI audit
Social compliance audit of the production site. We give you the audit reference so you can check it on the amfori platform rather than trusting a PDF. Sent after an NDA or a qualified enquiry.
ISO 9001 certificate
Quality management certificate for Jinhua Yilan Industry & Trade Co., Ltd. The certificate number is verifiable with the issuing registrar; ask for it in your first message.
Company registration
Unified Social Credit Code 91330702MA2M0CNXX6, incorporated 28 December 2020, registered scope including bag manufacturing. Public on gsxt.gov.cn, the Chinese state register, and reproduced on our About page. We own the sewing lines; we are not a trading company.
Programme experience
SGS testing and Disney-audited programmes are past programme evidence, not a certificate of every current product. We say so plainly, and we show the relevant reports under NDA when they apply to a construction you are buying.
Product and material documents (per order)
These are only meaningful when they name your fabric, your components and your production lot. We arrange them against the actual bill of materials and quote them as a line on the order.
REACH SVHC, azo dyes, phthalates, heavy metals
Run by SGS, Intertek or TUV on the shell fabric, coating, lining, webbing, zipper and hardware of your product. Scope, lab, sample quantity and cost are fixed before testing; nothing is described as passed until the report exists.
California Proposition 65
Material screening for the US market on the same component list, with supplier declarations where they genuinely exist and lab testing where they do not.
Food-contact declarations for bowls and bottles
Collapsible silicone bowls, water bottles and food containers packed with a travel bag are food-contact articles. We source them from suppliers who can issue a Declaration of Conformity under Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and, for plastics, Regulation (EU) No 10/2011, plus BPA test data. The declaration names the exact article supplied with your product, not a generic one.
Recycled-content and textile certificates
For rPET fabrics we request the mill’s GRS scope certificate and transaction certificate for your lot; OEKO-TEX certificates are requested from the mill where the fabric carries them. These certify the material, and we present them as material documents rather than as a factory badge.
Zipper and hardware specification
YKK is specified by article number on the quotation and Proforma Invoice when you require it, and the slider is marked accordingly. Substitution without your written approval is a contract breach, not a discretion.
Load, cycle and drop tests
Static load on straps and handles, zipper cycle, base board sag, drop and waterproof tests can be run by a third-party lab. Method, standard, number of samples and acceptance criteria are agreed before testing, in writing.
What sits on the importer’s side
Under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR, in force since December 2024) the economic operator placing a product on the EU market carries the obligations: an EU responsible person, product identification, manufacturer details, safety information and a technical file. The same logic applies to UK product safety rules and to US labelling.
What we supply as inputs: our legal name and factory address for labelling, product identification and batch marking on the product or packaging, material composition per component, care and use instructions text, warning text where relevant, and the test reports listed above. We do not appoint an EU responsible person on your behalf; you appoint one, and we put its details on the label to your artwork.
The Declaration of Conformity for the finished product is issued by the brand or importer. We give you every input it depends on and confirm them in writing, but the signature on that document is yours.
What we do not claim
- ✓There is no “IATA certification” for pet carriers. IATA publishes container requirements for animals shipped as cargo; cabin carriers are governed by each airline’s own size and construction rules, which vary by airline and route. We design to the dimensions you specify and state them on the spec sheet, and we do not print an approval claim on the product or packaging.
- ✓Car seats, seat covers and harnesses are travel-comfort products, not crash-tested restraint systems, unless a specific test has been run and reported for your product.
- ✓A factory audit is not a product certificate. BSCI and ISO 9001 describe how the site is run; they do not certify the materials in your bag. Product-level documents are arranged per order, as listed above.
- ✓We do not describe a test as passed before the report exists, and we do not reuse a report from a different construction or lot as proof for yours.
Inspection before shipment
Every order gets in-line inspection during production and a pre-shipment inspection covering function, appearance, seams, measurements, packing and carton marks, with a photo and video report before dispatch. The default acceptance standard is AQL 2.5 for major defects unless the quotation states another level.
Third-party pre-shipment inspection by SGS, Intertek, TUV, Bureau Veritas or your own agent is accepted at any time; you book and pay the inspector, we schedule the goods and the floor. Defective pieces found at inspection are reworked or replaced before shipment; the handling of defects found after delivery follows the custom order FAQ.
