Despite the purse name, A6649 is a structured soft-sided travel carrier: a black rectangular bag measuring 43.2 × 20.3 × 27.9 cm (17.0 × 8.0 × 11.0 in) outside and rated to 5.4 kg (11.9 lb). The pet goes in through a zipped end door that folds down, mesh panels run along the sides and top, a removable sherpa pad lines the floor, and a front pocket takes a leash and treats. It is carried by top handles or a shoulder strap.
Why Its Proportions Matter
At 20.3 cm wide it is the narrowest of the hand-carried pieces, long rather than tall — a shape chosen for lying down, not sitting up. That is the opposite of A6683, a cotton tote where the pet rides with its head out of an open top. Against the chest-worn A6678, which shares the 20.3 cm depth, A6649 adds 10 cm of length and 0.9 kg of rating. Any under-seat or cabin sizing claim depends on the airline and route and is not made on this page.
