A6653: A Pop-Up Pen for Big Dogs
The photos show a multi-sided pop-up pen rather than a box crate: 53.3 × 53.3 × 76.2 cm (21 × 21 × 30 in) on record, rated to 22.7 kg (50 lb), in Oxford fabric over a steel frame with a fleece pad. It has a zippered front entry, a top access opening, mesh panels around the sides and bound edges, and it twists down into a round flat pack. Grey, Black, Maroon and Blue are the reference colours.
Why Not Just Use A6679?
A6679 has almost exactly the same footprint, which makes the two easy to confuse in a range review. The difference is construction and load: A6653 springs open with no assembly and carries the highest weight rating in this group, while A6679 is a square fold-flat kennel with no rating on record. For a rectangular pen supported by removable rods, compare A6710 at 81.3 cm long and 11.3 kg — longer, but rated for half the load.
