A6638: A Mitt-Style Deshedding Glove

A6638 is a flat grooming mitt rather than a five-finger glove. The working face is a grey textured grooming surface that lifts loose hair as the hand strokes along the coat; the back is black open mesh so the hand stays ventilated; a yellow elastic band across the back holds it in place, and a yellow tab at the top hangs it up after use. The whole outline is edge-bound. The reference photos show it with a cat and a dog; no size or weight figure is on record, so the mitt size is agreed at sampling.

Its Place in the Care Range

It is the only item in this group that works directly on the animal’s coat. The A6640 scoop and the A6713 litter box are handled around the animal, and the A6717 grooming hammock holds the pet still while nails are trimmed. Retailers often range the mitt beside the hammock as a home-grooming pair, but the two are specified separately: the hammock around body weight and leg spacing, the mitt around hand size and the texture of its grooming face.

Decided on the Sample

The grooming-face material and its texture, the back mesh, strap elasticity and edge binding are chosen on the sample. How much hair it removes, and how it feels on a particular coat, are things to try on that sample rather than claims made here.
